One way transport happens due to presence of Suberin.
•Suberin is a waxy substance found in root endodermis. Specifically it is a part of casparian strips in plants. It is inert layer which inhibits flow of water through it.
•Thus causing one way transport in plants.
•Root endodermis caused flow of water to the upward parts of plant. •Absorption of water occurs through unicellular root hairs while transport occurs through xylem which is a part of vascular tissue in plants.
