We know that figure shown in picture is ‘Rectangle’
Therefore,we use given length and breadth to find out the area of railway path
We also know that formula for finding out area of rectangle is ‘2(length + Breadth)’
Area of rectangle = 2(length+Breadth)
Area of rectangle = 2(49+27)m
Area of rectangle = (2 ×76)m
Area of rectangle = 152sq.m
Now, we have to find area of left portion of rectangle (land/railway path)
As shown in figure given rectangle is distributed in two equal parts therefore, we divided area of given rectangle by two
Area of left portion = Area of rectangle/2
Area of left portion = 152/2
Area of left portion = 76m
