A) Coulomb Force is involved, that's why all alpha particles repelled when they came towards nucleus.
=>Nuclear force exists only when distance between two particles is very close as much as protons and Neutrons.
=>But, here they can't even reach till this much close distance.
Because of this Coulomb Force, alpha particles scattered due repulsion between Nucleus charge (Ze) and 2e of alpha particles.

2) Path is Hyperbolic in nature as Force between Nucleus and Alpha particles is given by
F = k(Ze)2e /r^2
F α 1/r^2
This is equation of hyperbola.

In Rutherford's gold foil experiment, the scattering of alpha particles takes place. In this process  coulombic force is involved.

In this experiment , all alpha particles has been repelled when they come toward the nucleus of an atom , so its caused only due to the Coulombic force.
