As time passed, the distance between good and evil decreased. We're a part of Kalyug and thus, it depends on us that which part within us would we choose : good or evil. All of us must try to win control over our soul, mind and heart; this will lead us to our final goal. A person who is the most powerful and influential in the world but, has not been able to conquer himself/herself is a loser indeed. The one who conquers over the powers inside him/her is the real winner.
Hope it helps you.
