Given:-

  • In school assembly, students of a class  are standing in a line.
  • Ruhi is 19th  from both ends.

To find:-

  • How many students  are present in that class.

Solution:-

Given that Ruhi is nineteenth from both the ends.

Then,

No of students on the right side of Ruhi = 18

No.of.students on the left side of Ruhi = 18

Which means there are 18 boys on each his side.

Therefore,

Total no of students before and after Ruhi :-

➺18 + 18

➺2(18)

➺36

Therefore, there are a total of 36 students before and after the boy.

Also,Ruhi is a student of the class.Hence, the total no.of.student present in the class will be the no of students before and after Ruhi added to Ruhi.

That is,

➺18 + 1 +18

➺36+1

37

Therefore, there are 37 students present in the class.

Ruhi is nineteenth from both the ends. That means there are 18 students on each his side.  That makes a total of 36 students before and after the student. Adding Ruhi in the class makes a total of 37 students

  • Number of Students in the class = 18 + 18 + 1 = 37
