Given:

In school assembly, students of a class are standing in a line. Ruhi is 19th from both ends.

 \\ \\

To Find:

How many students are present in that class?

 \\ \\

Solution:

 \\

◐ As it's said that Ruhi stands in the 19th position from both the ends.

  \\

→ Position of Ruhi will be 18th from the front

18th from the back side

so, total no.of students excluding Ruhi will be:

  \\

 \longrightarrow \sf \: 18 + 18 \: \\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf 36 \bigstar \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:

hence , the no. of students excluding her are 36

  \\

so, the total number of students will be:

 \longrightarrow \sf 36 + 1 \\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf 37 \bigstar \: \: \: \:

  \\

therefore the total no.of students in the assembly are 37

Ruhi is nineteenth from both the ends. That means there are 18 students on each his side.  That makes a total of 36 students before and after the student. Adding Ruhi in the class makes a total of 37 students

  • Number of Students in the class = 18 + 18 + 1 = 37
