Teachers need to stand out from students and their work is to teach students and their behaviour and knowledge define it. Attire matters to some extent and it is often seen that students are attracted to a teacher's attire. According to me, attires also define a person in today's world and an adult should be given the right to choose what he/she wants to wear.

However, a dress code is important to ensure that teachers don't dress out of he way to grab the attention of other teachers and students. It should be decent and sober such that it doesn't have a wrong impact on the students. Nevertheless, uniforms should only be meant for students.
