In series connection....Total resistance is measured by using this formula...↓↓
R = R1+R2+R3
R = R1+R2+R3

In series combination the equivalent resistance formula is R1+R2+R3=Tr(total resistance)
For example if R1=2ohm and R2=4ohm and R3=6ohm. So Tr will be
=2+4+6
Tr=12ohms ok
