in Shakespeare Act 1 what is the conflict between Shylock and Antonio? Does it have any roots in religion?

Yes antonio was christian and shylock was jew and the conflict is about the giving money antonio gave money people and said them to give money without tax but shylock gave money on tax so everybody took money from antonio and antonio also abuses him and says him a dog and spits on him
