In Socialism Equality of all humans has a primary place. They insists that all humans are equal. And they are opposed to every social hierarchy. For example the hierarchy of wealth. Hierarchy of wealth causes rich people to obtain better medical care, better education and other services. But poor people are less privileged. They don't have access to better health care or education. Socialist people provide a solution to this problem by implementing tax system and other policies that transfer excess money from rich people to poor people.
