I feel this way for two main reasons, which I will explore in the following essay.First, getting a job makes teenagers more responsible: young people can understand the value of money and how to be parsimonious only if they really experience what work means. My own experience is a compelling example of this. I started working when I was student at high school: I was waiter in a fancy restaurant on the Adriatic seashore. I only benefited from working there: I met people with many walks of life and I practiced my English and Spanish. Besides, I improved my communication skills and I broadened my horizons. Many of my friends did not work and they carelessly spent their parents’ money, while I realized that saving money is fundamental in order to build your future and be independent of your family. Thus, young people should work even though they are busy with their studies.
