Yes buddy, speed is a scalar quantity.
Because, direction is not present with its magnitude

Speed describes the total length covered in a fixed time period,,, There is no mention of the direction. i.e Speed is not depended on the direction it is only magnitude.... Therefore it is a scalar quantity........
