Dear Student,

● Answer -

Percentage change in the price per item sold = 18.18 %

◆ Explaination -

Let x be initial price of the item and y be initial quantity sold.

Overall collection initially is xy.

After change in price x', overall collection becomes 10% less.

xy × 90/100 = (y×110/100) × x'

90x = 110x'

x' = 90x/110

x' = 9x/11 × 100%

x' = 81.82 %

So percentage decrease in price of the item is 100-81.82 = 18.18 %

Thanks dear...
