No ,as readers we clearly can see how rude,cold and unfeeling Griffen was.he surely was isolated and lonley but he never tried to involve himself with people around him.

He was greedy and wanted to create regin of terror, slaughtering people disobeying him.

He never gave a second thought before hurting someone.

He wanted to earn fame and money,he never wanted to share his discovery with anyone but unfavorable circumstances reveled out his secret.

He though was a smart scientist but he had evil intentions and lack of compassion and concern for his own race.
