in square PQRS :
1) if PQ =3x-7 and QR=x+3, find PS
2) if PR=5x and QS=9x-8, find QS​

So,

3x-7=x+3

3x-x=7+3

2x=10

x=10/2

=>x = 5

Substituting:

x+3 = 5+3 = 8

PS = 8

We know that the diagonals of a square are equal

Thus,  

PR = QS  

5x = 9x - 8

4x = 8
