hence is side of the circle i.e 28cm is the diameter of the circle

therefore the radius is r/2 = 28/2 = 14

the area of the circle =  πr^2

= 22/7 x 14

= 22 x 2

= 44 sq.cm

hence area of the circle is 44sq.cm
