Sri Lanka

Explanation:

The Sri Lankan government passed an act in 1956 to recognize Sinhala as the official language, disregarding the Tamils. This dissatisfied the Tamils, who were the minority community. As a result, there was an ethnic dispute between the Sinhalese who were the majority and the Tamils, who were the minority in the Dominion of Ceylon (present-day Sri Lanka). The Ceylonese riots witnessed the massacre of Tamils in the Gal Oya valley. More than 150 people lost their lives during the violence. Although initially inactive, the police and the army eventually brought the situation under control. I am not in favour of the Act that triggered great violence and was biased to one community.
