In states like Rajasthan the farmers use drip irrigation system instead of sprinkler system. Can you suggest why?

There are low level of water and less rainfall.
For saving water they used drip irrigation.

sprinkler also helpful but it takes more water and it provides unequal distribution of water to the crop.
