Postmaster was a kind man.He was a man with helping nature and he helped Lencho,who was complete stranger to him and he helped him so that his(lencho) faith to god not be broken and really deserved help as his crops were destroyed by the hail stones .

- About Lencho - He is a farmer. His house is at the top of the hill. He is having immense faith on God.
- Lencho's crops need rain - His crops needed a shower of rain, so that there will be a good harvest. He looks at his wife and says that there will be rain soon.
- The hailstorm - The rain started. He was happy and the raindrops were new coins for him. Suddenly, the wind turned into a storm and heavy hailstones started falling. He thought that it would get over soon but it destroyed the whole crop and his hope also. He thought that his family will starve the whole year. His soul was filled with sorrow.
- Letter to God - He thought that only God can help him. He has great faith on God. He decided to write a letter to God. He believed that God will surely help him. He addresses the letter to God and writes, "God. If you don't help me, my family and I will go hungry this year." He requested God to send him 100 pesos. He also tells how his crops were destroyed by the hailstorm. After writing, he puts it in the envelope, affixes a stamp on it, and places it in the mailbox.
- Letter received by the postmaster - The letter was given to the postmaster in the post office. He laughed at the first moment then he became serious. He was a fat amiable man. He decided to help Lencho. He asked his colleagues to donate some of their money and he also gives some money from his salary. But they were able to collect only 70 pesos.
