Quantity of entire solution = 26 litres
Percentage of sugar dissolved in the solution = 25 %
So,
Actual quantity of sugar dissolved in the solution = 25 % of 26 litres = 25 / 100 of 26 litres = 0.25 * 26 litres
Therefore,
Quantity of sugar dissolved in the solution = 6.5 litres
So,
The rest of the solution will be water.
Quantity of water in the solution = 26 - 6.5 = 19.5 litres
Now,
We see that quantity of water is greater than the quantity of sugar, so the required difference will be,
Quantity of water - Quantity of sugar
19.5 - 6.5
13 litres
19.5 - 6.5
13 litres

Part of sugar =25% of 26l
Part of water =75% of 26l
Difference between sugar and water.= (75-25)% of 26l
=50% of 26l
=13litre..
::: Therefore difference between quantity of sugar and water in the solution =13 litre..
