n summer white phosphorus burn on its own how. it has a very low ignition temp [very close to room temp.] it is a n imflammable substance and due to its slow oxidation it reaches its ignition temperature which is 35 degree celsius. as it is surrounded by enough oxygen it catches fire on its own .
