In my opinion Sydeny Carton is a honourable and positive character. Though he is a drunk man,and is a foxy shrewd character, the story immediately turns about the end when he sacrifices his own life in order to save his love-Miss Lucie Manette's husband Charles Darnay's life.He believes that his blood will blossom upon the lives of his loved once,and eventually would balance with his sins.
