in tall tress water rises up without any external support.explain the mechanism​

In plants,water move in upward direction. Firstly, the concentration of water in roots is high & in stem in low.so by the process of diffusion, stem gain water from roots. Similarly concentration of water in branch is low & in stem is high.so branch gain water  from stem. Similarly,leaves gain water from branches by the process  of  diffusion. Now, sunlight falls on leaves. Then water present on leaves evaporate. This process continue. Thus plant get water.
