Shortcut key for creating any ledger in TALLY ERP 9 is :-

• Press ALT + C

Tally automatically creates two ledgers — one is Cash Account and another is Profit and Loss Account. Automatic voucher entries (recording of transaction) will only be possible if it is related to these two account. So, the user will have to create all other ledgers accounts for recording the transaction in Tally.

The steps for creating any ledger under Single Ledger option in TALLY ERP 9 are :-

• Step 1 : Go to Gateway of Tally

• Step 2 : Click on Accounts Info.

• Step 3 : Click on Ledgers

• Step 4 : Click on Single Ledger

• Step 5 : Click on Create and then enter the required information for the creating of the ledger.

A user can create ledgers under Multiple Ledgers option in TALLY ERP 9.

For this the following steps to be followed :-

• Step 1 : Go to Gateway of Tally

• Step 2 : Click on Accounts Info.

• Step 3 : Click on Ledgers

• Step 4 : Click on Multiple Ledger
