In Tamil Nadu , 75% of the people living in rural areas use a ration shop , whereas in Jharkhand only 8% of the people do so. Where would people be better - off and why ?

Health and nutritional status of people depends on availability of cheap and reasonable quality food grains, sugar and other item from the PDS system. So, in Tamilnadu, the people will be better off, since more people there unities the facilities provided by PDS system.

In jharkhand people will be well off because in tamil nadu more people depend on ration shops this indicates that people cannot afford food from market whereas in tamilnadu they can do so . In tamil nadu they need cheaper price as they do not have money.this shows people are better off in jharkhand
