It is closely linked to public facilities in West Bengal, all the poor people cannot get good food because of the very poor public distribution system, if they cannot get food the mortality rate increases and also the health and nutritional status of people decreases. Thus, West Bengal is regarded as less developed than that of Tamilnadu.
