In terms of evolution what is the the significance of homology between human hands and wings of the bird

Wings of birds & arms of humans are homologous organs as they are same in form but perform different functions like wings help birds to fly whereas arms allow humans to do various activities. The similarities in their skeletal structure is an evidence of their homology & shows they are emryologically similar.
