Explanation:

m2g-T2=m2a/2 .........(I)

T1=m1a .........(ii)

T2 = 2T1 ........(iii)

from ii and iii we have

T2= 2m1a

putting in (I)

m2g-2m1a=m2a/2

m2g=m2a/2+2m1a

m2g=(m2a+4m1a)/2

2m2g/ (m2+4m1=a)

Answer:

Explanation:

let acceleration of block m1 = a

therefore acceleration of block m2 = a/2

let tension in the string connecting m1 be t

therefore tension in string connecting m2 will be 2t

applying equation for m1

t=m1a

m2g-2t = m2a/2

m2g-2m1a = m2a/2

2m2g/4m1+m2 = a

acceleration of block connecting m1 = 2m2g / 4m1+m2

acceleration of block connecting m2 = m2g / 4m1+m2
