DNA Analysis Process

Step by step explanation:

Dna analysis procedure is performed in with the help of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)

The procedure has 4 different steps. Which include different temperatures.

  1. Initialization: It is done to pre heat the chamber and make it ready for PCR. The temperature here is between 94 to 96 degree Celsius or 98 degree Celsius.
  2. Denaturation: It is done to melt the DNA. It breaks down the double helix structure of the DNA. 94 to 98 degree Celsius.
  3. Annealing: Primer is added in this step. For this temperature is lowered down so that hybridization pf the primer to the strand can occur. The temp here is 50 to 65 degree Celsius.
  4. Elongation: A new DNA strand complementary to the DNA template strand is synthesized with the help of DNA polymerase. The temperature here depend on the polymerase used. But its approximately around 75 to 80 degree Celsius.
