A Lot of factors are responsible for the amount of people who migrated in 19th Century .

  • A lot of wars and conflicts were going over the world.
  • The European Countries were ruling half of the world Countries.
  • After the war , the economy of the world decreased drastically.
  • The poor people of Underdeveloped and Devoloping countries went abroad to good countries to get a job.
  • Also at that time a number of infectious diseases were dominating the world.
  • The instability of political conditions of many countries forced its citizens to migrate to other countries to save their future.
  • Also people settled abroad to have and get a nice life , away from wars , conflicts and diseases.

Thats why more than 150 million people migrated to and fro their countries .

. (i) Abolition of Corn Laws and free trade : The scrapping of the Corn laws laid the foundation of free trade. Now, food could be imported Or exported into Britain freely.
