Given :  Right angle Δ ABC   , right angled at B

∠X : ∠Y = 1:2.

To Find : Tan x

A. 1 /√3

B. 1

C. √3 /2

D. √3

Solution:

∠X : ∠Y = 1:2

∠X =   z

=> ∠Y = 2z

"Sum of angles of a triangle is 180°"

z + 2z  + 90° = 180°

=> 3z = 90°

=>  z = 30°

∠X =  30°

Tan ∠X = Tan 30°  =  1/√3

Correct option is A. 1 /√3

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let angle x be a

and y be 2a

90+a+2a =180 (angle sum property of triangle)

90 +3a =180

3a=180-90

a =90/3

a =30

tan x =tan 30
