Answer:

x° = 180° - (40° + 25°)

x° = 180° - 65°

x° = 115°

y° = 115° + 25°

y° = 140°

z = 40°

What to find?

→ x, y& z from the given figure.

How to find?

→ First we shall find z, then x & y.

Finding z :

Here, z = 40° [°.° Vertically opposite angles]

.°. z = 40°

Finding x :

Here , AD is a line.

40°+25°+x = 180° [°.° Linear pairs]

⇒ x = 180°- 65°

⇒x = 125°

. °. x = 125°

Finding y :

40°+ y = 180° [°.° Linear pairs]

⇒y= 180°- 40°

⇒y = 140°

.°. y = 140°

Hence, x=125° , y=140° & z = 40°
