In the above figure, if ∠AOB = 90°, then the values of ∠AOE, ∠EOD and ∠DOB are

Given : figure   ∠COD=90 °  , ∠BOE=72°  ,   and AOB is a straight line.

To Find :  angles AOC , AOE, EOD and DOB  

Solution:

3x & 72 forms a linear pair

=> 3x + 72° = 180°

=> 3x = 108°

=> x = 36°

x  + 90 + y = 180°

=> x + y = 90°

=>  36° + y = 90°

=> y = 54°

∠AOE = 3x  = 3 * 54°  = 162°

∠EOD = y + 72° = 54° + 72°   = 126°

∠DOB = y = 54°

∠AOC =  x  = 36°
