In the above figure, if pairs of triangles are similar, then the value of 'x' are as follows:

Consider the attached figure while going through the following steps.

(i)

PQ/QR = TL/ST

5 / 3 = x / 4.5

x = 4.5 × 3/5

x = 7.5 cm

(ii)

AB/BC = PQ/QC

5 / (3+3) = x / 3

5 / 6 = x / 3

5 / 2 = x

x = 2.5 cm

(iii)

AB/BC = DE/CD

24 / 22 = 14 / x

x = 14 × 11 / 12

x = 12.8 cm

(iv)

RS/ST = RA/AB

(6+2) / x = 6 / 9

8 / x = 6 / 9

x = 8 × 9/6

x = 12 cm

(v)

PR/QR = PN/MN

(4+x) / 15 = 4 / 5

x = 4/5 × 15 - 4

x = 4 × 3 - 4

x = 8 cm

(vi)

XZ/YZ = XA/AB

(x+7.5) / 18 = x / 12

12 (x+7.5) = x ×  18

12x + 90 = 18x

90 = 18x - 12x

90 = 6x

x = 15 cm

(vii)

ED/CD = AB/BC

x / 15 = 1.6 / 1.5

x = 15 × 1.6 / 1.5

x = 16 cm

(viii)

AC/BC = AE/BE

(5+4) / 6 = 5 / x

9 / 6 = 5 / x

x = 5 × 6 / 9

x = 3.33 cm
