The measure of R = 100°

Given:

Lines l and m are parallel.

To find:

The measure of angle R?

Solution:

Given that Lines l and m are parallel lines

Here

Measure of P = 60°

Measure of Q = 100°

Let Q' be the opposite angle of Q

Then measure of Q' = 360° - 100° = 160°

=> Measure of Q' = 160°

We need to find the measure of R

In this case,

Since Lines l and m are parallel lines

The measure of R = ∠Q' - ∠P

=> ∠R = 160° - 60°

=> ∠R = 100°

Therefore,

The measure of R = 100°
