In the absence of microorganisms the earth would become a heap of dead plants and animals , because microorganisms helps in decomposing of the dead plants and animals , they work as a decomposers, without them there will be no decomposing of the dead organisms , and hence lead to the health problems.

It is true that in the absence of microorganism the earth would become a heap of Dead plants and animals as they help in the degradation of the wastes .
They help in recycling of materials, cleaning up west and creating space for the growth of new organisms.
They are also called saprobes because they are useful in decomposting waste from ecosystem .
