in the absence of microorganisms the earth would become a heap of that plants and animals because the microorganisms are helpful as decomposers they just convert the dead body of plants and animals into fossil fuels so it is justified that if there will no microorganisms on the earth then the earth would became a heap of that plants and

when when a plant or animal dies it leaves behind nutrients and energy in the organic materials that form its body structure. microorganisms (decomposers) eventually converters all such organic matter into carbon dioxide and nutrients . This nutrients becomes a part of the soil. In this way the microorganisms clear the environment.
