in triangle ABC
DE || BC
if AD/BD = AE/CE
AD = 2.4 cm
BD = 7.2 cm
AE = 1.8 cm
CE = 5.4
AD/BD = 2.4/7.2 = 1/3
AE/CE = 1.8/5.4 = 1/3
1/3 = 1/3
=> AD/BD = AE/CE
=> DE || BC
