In the adjoining diagram attached ABCD is a rectangle with AE=EF=FB. what is the ratio of triangle CEF and that of rectangle

Area of triangle Δ CEF = area of Δ CEB - area of Δ CFB
          = 1/2 EB * BC  - 1/2 FB * BC
             = 1/2 (2 AB/3) * BC  - 1/2 (AB/3) * BC = 1/6 * AB * BC

area of rectangle = AB * BC

Ratio = 1/6
