Consider the figure while going through the following steps

∠ ABC = ∠ ACB ( radius AB = AC)

∠ PAD = ∠ ADE          (∵ m ║ PAQ)

∠ QAE = ∠ AED

∠ B = ∠ ADE = ∠ PAD     ( ∵ BC ║ m)

∠ C = ∠ AED = ∠ EAQ

∴ ∠ ADE = ∠ AED

Therefore, AD = AE
