1)Given that:

AB=DC

AB is parallel to DC

In ∆DCN and ∆BAP

AB=DC (given)

<DNC = <BPA (90° each)

< DCN = <BAP (alternate interior angle)

So, by AAS criterion of Congruency both the triangles ∆DCN and ∆BAP are congruent.

2) DN= BP ( by C.P.C.T)

AD= BC (opposite sides of parallelogram)

<DNA = <BPC (90°each)

So,by RHS criteria of congruency ∆DNA us congruent to ∆BPC

Hence AN= CP (by C.P.C.T)
