In the adjoining figure, angle 2 is 125° and angle 5 is 55°. Is l parallel to m? Give reasons in support of your answer​

Answer:

Angle 2= angle 4 (vertically opposite angle)

Angle 4+angle 5 =180 ( co-interior angle)

125 + 55= 180

180=180

Lhs = Rhs

We know that when pair of alternate interior angle is supplementary then two lines are parallel

so angle 1=180-125(linear pair)

angle a=55°

so angle 5=55° as angle a corresponds angle 5 (corresponding angles are equal)
