Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

p || q and m is a transversal.

To find :-

Find the value of x ?

Solution :-

Given that

p || q and m is a transversal.

Given angles are x+50° and 2x-20°

x+50° and it's vertically opposite angle are equal.

and x+50° and 2x-20° are corresponding angles

We know that

If two parallel lines Intersected by a transversal then the pair of corresponding angles are equal.

=> 2x-20° = x+50°

=> 2x-x = 50°+20°

=> x = 70°

Therefore, x = 70°

Answer:-

The value of x for the given problem is 70°

Used formulae:-

→ If two parallel lines Intersected by a transversal then the pair of corresponding angles are equal

→ Vertically opposite angles are equal.
