AB is a straight line ,so the sum of all the angles above it is 180°.

therefore, angle 1 +angle 2=180°

3x + 2x = 180 \\ 5x = 180 =>x = 36

so, angle 1 = (3×36)° = 108°

and angle 2 = (2×36)° = 72°

Now, AB ll CD and a transversal cut them.

therefore, angle 6 = angle 2 = 72°

(since, corresponding angles)

and angle 5 = angle 1 = 108°

(since, corresponding angles)

Hence, angle5= 108° and angle6=72°
