In the adjoining figure it is being given that AO is parallel to CD, OB parallel to CE and angle AOB =50 degree. Find the measure of angle ECD

  • ∠AOB = 50°
  • ∠AOD = ∠CDB = 50° [∵ Corresponding angles are equal] Then,
  • ∠ECD + ∠CDB = 180° … [∵ Consecutive interior angles are supplementary]
  • ∠ECD + 50 = 180
  • ∠ECD = 180 – 50
  • ∠ECD = 130°
