In the adjoining figure NQ bisects ZMNP, MN = 25, NP = 40, MQ = 14 find QP.​

In ∆MNP, seg NQ bisects ∠N. [Given] 

∴ PN/MN = QP/MQ [Property of angle bisector of a triangle] 

∴ 40/25 = QP/14  

∴ QP = (40 x 14)/25 

∴ QP = 22.4 units
