In the adjoining figure, O is the centre of the circle and AOE is the diameter of the semi circle. if AB=AC and amgle OEC =50, find angle ACB

AB = AC

∠OEC = 50°

We have drawn the figure for your reference.

∠OEC = ∠AEC = 50°

Now According to theorem.

"Angles which are subtended by the same arc of a circle are equal."

Hence we can say that;

∠AEC = ∠ABC = 50°

Now AB = AC so Δ ABC is an isosceles triangle.

Also base angles of Isosceles triangle are equal.

So ∠ACB = ∠ABC

Hence m∠ACB = m∠ABC = 50°
