Hey user

Here is your answer :-

In the given figure angles are supplymentory I.e. their sum is 180.

Hence we get equation

3x + 20 + 4x - 36 = 100

7x - 16 = 100

7x = 100 + 16

7x = 116

x = 116/7

x = 18

Hence the value of x is " 18 " .

Answer:

In the adjoining figure, the value of x is 18.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have a figure in which a line segment is drawn named PQ and one line is drawn from point O on line segment PQ to the point R such that

∠POR = (3x+20)°

and ∠QOR = (4x - 36)°

Step 1 of 2

Now we know that sum of all angles which comprise one straight line is 180°.

Then from the given condition, we can write that

∠POR + ∠QOR = 180°

And the measure of both angles is given as per in question.

Step 2 of 2

Now by putting the values of both the angles we get the following as

(3x + 20) + (4x - 36) = 180

⇒3x + 20 + 4x - 36 = 180

⇒7x -16 = 180

⇒7x = 180 + 16

⇒7x = 196

⇒x = 196/7

x = 28

Hence the value of x in the adjoining figure is 28
