In the adjoining figure, what value of x make AOB a straight line? ​

Here we gonna implement straight line (or angle) property !! Incase, you are facing such type of questions first time lemme tell you some important points regarding this. A straight angle is exactly 180°. Additionally, any two contiguous angles must be supplementary or equal 180° Now just look at the adjoining figure, AOB is a straight line right such that line OC seems to be dividing it in two parts (rather not equal xD) knowing the fact, that a straight angle is exactly 180°.

Thus, ∠ AOB = 180°

∠AOC + ∠BOC = ∠AOB

(3x + 5) + (2x - 25) = 180

5x - 20 = 180

5x = 200

x = 200/5 = 40.

The value of 'x' is 40.
