Answer: a = 130° ; b = 50°

Step-by-step explanation:

As given ,

a - b = 80° ------------------ (i)

As , the following pair of angles forms a linear pair ,

Therefore,. a + b = 180° ----------------(ii)

Equating (i) and (ii) ;

a + b = 180°

a - b =. 80°

__________

2a = 260°

=>. a = 260/2

=>. a= 130 °

Therefore , substituting the value of a in Equation ( ii)

130° - b = 80°

=> b = 130° - 80°

=> b = 50°

hope it helps you...
